Wellness
Ignite Dance Academy recognizes the interconnectedness of mental, emotional, and physical health and incorporates elements of wellness into our programs. By integrating mental health support, nutrition education, and stress management techniques, students are empowered to prioritize their well-being and develop healthy habits that contribute to a balanced and fulfilling life.
With the expertise of soon to be registered dietitians Abby Syria and Evee Hamilton, both Western University graduates, dancers can enjoy monthly healthy eating and body-positive check-ins.
Isabella Judrich is a certified specialist in diagnosing and treating musculoskeletal injuries. Using MSK taping and wrapping techniques, she can treat sprains, strains and tears. With her expertise, she helps dancer prevent and recover from injuries and improve their mobility and comfort.
Madi Berardi is a certified High Five instructor and also certified in Mental Health First Aid. These qualifications allow Madi to have thoughtful conversations with the dancers surrounding their mental health and well-being.
We're committed to more than just perfecting moves; we're dedicated to creating a supportive and inclusive community where everyone feels valued and respected. Bullying has no place on our dance floor. Through encouragement, empathy, and teamwork, we cultivate an environment where every dancer can shine, confident in their uniqueness and free from fear.
